Gibson J-50 (1969) USA
<<<THIS GUITAR HAS BEEN SOLD>>>
The Gibson J-50, along with the J-45, is probably one of the most successful acoustic guitars that Gibson ever produced. The body contours, sound, and the dynamics of the J-50 allow them to be extremely versatile. This guitar can play country, blues, folk, etc.
The J-50 is the same guitar as the Gibson J-45 except for the natural top finish. This model was produced in 1967 and includes the larger pointed pickguard, a 20th fret, and a triple bound top. The J-50 has a spruce top with mahogany back and sides. This guitar also has the adjustable bridge.
This guitar is a singer-songwriter or country strummer’s dream. Strummed chords sound exactly as they should with that classic Gibson sound. Very balanced and breathy with nice clear overtones that blend well with other instruments. The J-45 is one of the best sounding guitars to strum in the recording studio and this J-50 has that same tone that we have heard on country recordings for decades.
This 1969 J-50 has definitely been played and shows considerable wear, but is in good condition for it’s age. There are numerous scratches, nicks, and dents throughout the guitar, as displayed on the photos. There is a small repaired crack around the neck-area. Includes hardshell case.
