The SG Special evolved out of the Les Paul Special in the early '60s when Gibson introduced the SG as its primary solidbody shape. The Special was conceived as a more affordable, parred-down take on SG Standard, and this designation persists till today.

This guitar is in real nice condition with original cherry finish. The neck at one time was professionally repaired with a shim and is more solid then ever before. The bridge pup is routed (very clean) for a bucker. New electronics and tuners, original bridge.
